January 1, Day One

Floss twice daily. Eat right. Exercise. Balance your checkbook. We all have a mental list of things that we "should" be doing every day.  Is it humanly possible to do all of them?  I'm on a mission this month to find out.  I've made a short list of all the things that I should be doing, but usually don't, and I'm going to see if I can do them all, religiously, every day, for one month.

The idea is not so much to try and be more perfect, as to show how hard it would be to even try, so that I can cut myself some slack when I start to feel guilty about not doing all these things all the time.  But who knows, maybe I'll pick up a good habit or two along the way.

Today was the first day, and I already know that I missed out on a couple items on the list- balancing the checkbook being one, and going to church the other.  In my defense, I watched not only my kids, but my best friend's daughter all day today while she and my husband went to a football game.  Plus, I got 3 1/2 hours of sleep last night.  But still- I did pretty well, all things considered.

Tomorrow, I will post the list.  Tune in and see how I do!
