Today was chaos from beginning to end, but amazingly, I did everything I was supposed to, except be in bed by 11:00. Robert and I were watching Harry Potter, but got in bed by 11:30.
Having this challenge really helped me in a few ways today. First, my typical MOD is to go to Mrs. Murphy's for a donut after I get my cholesterol checked. Knowing that would definitely not count under my healthy eating goal, I made a yogurt smoothie and put it in my travel mug to have after the blood draw. Same went for when I was wandering around the mall, and when I got home. Keeping the goal in mind helped me stick to it.
Tomorrow morning- mammogram!!! Yikes!!
:)
You can do anything for one month

Day 3- Sabotaged by sleep
Day 3 started out so strong! I did my flylady, I took my meds, I flossed in the AM. I wrote some fiction, I ate good ALL DAY LONG, despite some incredibly strong temptations like finding a bag of M&Ms in my purse.
I even made Robert's lunch and coffee, and most of the kid's lunch. I had big intentions to finish the lunches, finish my fiction goal, and floss and take my night time medication when I went to bed. But I fell asleep. DRAT!
In my defense, it was an incredibly stressful day. And looking back, the things that I did do made the day more bearable. I cannot say enough about getting those lunches and coffee made the night before and having my flylady done first thing. It really reduces the chaos.
We'll do better on Day 4!

January 1, Day One
Floss twice daily. Eat right. Exercise. Balance your checkbook. We all have a mental list of things that we "should" be doing every day. Is it humanly possible to do all of them? I'm on a mission this month to find out. I've made a short list of all the things that I should be doing, but usually don't, and I'm going to see if I can do them all, religiously, every day, for one month.
The idea is not so much to try and be more perfect, as to show how hard it would be to even try, so that I can cut myself some slack when I start to feel guilty about not doing all these things all the time. But who knows, maybe I'll pick up a good habit or two along the way.
Today was the first day, and I already know that I missed out on a couple items on the list- balancing the checkbook being one, and going to church the other. In my defense, I watched not only my kids, but my best friend's daughter all day today while she and my husband went to a football game. Plus, I got 3 1/2 hours of sleep last night. But still- I did pretty well, all things considered.
Tomorrow, I will post the list. Tune in and see how I do!
